The volume is the problem. The filter is the product.
Severity alone does not set priority
A critical CVE that no one has ever exploited is not the same finding as a high with public exploit code and a place on the CISA KEV list. Medcrypt ranks every advisory by exploit probability and real-world threat intelligence, so the handful that matter stop hiding behind the hundreds that don't.
Risk is a question about your device
Exploit evidence tells you what attackers are doing, not what a finding means for your device. That depends on whether the affected component touches basic safety or essential performance, whether the device can be reached by an attacker at all, and whether your software actually uses the flawed part of the component. Your team makes that call, and it's recorded alongside the SBOM in the standard VEX format.
Re-run it, don't redo it
New advisories land against your existing SBOM automatically, so a new component version or a fresh CVE means reading a short diff rather than re-triaging the whole bill of materials. The work you did last quarter still counts.
